Jen and Scott decided to have their Kenmore wedding in February , but I’m sure they raised a few eyebrows when they said they wanted to hold the ceremony outside! Kenmore is famous for its stunning scenery and Jen and Scott wanted to make the most of it. They chose the Kenmore Hotel as their venue. In the grounds to the rear of the hotel, there is a large jetty on the edge of the river. Their marriage ceremony was held there in front of their family and friends. Luckily the weather was perfect, a bit chilly but a lovely sunny February afternoon.
After the ceremony, we took a few group shots and a big confetti shower before everyone headed to the hotel for the drinks reception.
Jen and Scott are regular visitors to Kenmore and are very fond of the surrounding scenery. It was very important to them to capture this landscape in their couples shoot. I used a few locations, all within a few miles of the hotel. The first spot we went to was a little concrete pier at the far end of Kenmore beach. We then moved to the headland at the other side of the beach. After this we went to Dalerb, just along the north side of the loch. There’s a small picnic area there with good access to the waterside. The light was really good for their shoot and we even managed a few pics next to Kenmore bridge on the way back to the hotel.
later in the evening, I took a few pics with them on the balcony of the restaurant using some remote flashguns to light them up.
Here are a selection of pictures from their day.
