Kathleen and Stuart chose the stunning Ghillie Dhu in Edinburgh as the venue for their wedding. They had a humanist ceremony, conducted by Robert Anthony, which included a traditional Handfasting.

After the Ceremony, we headed outside for some group photos and a good confetti shower before a drinks reception in the bar. The wedding car chauffeur then took us all to the Botanical Gardens for their couples shoot. This is a stunning setting and you really are spoilt for choice when it come to locations. As we were limited with time, we chose a few areas close to the main entrance, then it was time to get back in the vintage car and head back across town to Ghillie Dhu for the wedding breakfast.

After their meal, Kathleen and Stuart were keen to get some photos in Princess street Gardens, with Edinburgh Castle in the background. This presents a few challenges… The first is the general public. On a sunny Sunday evening, the gardens are usually very crowded so we took the 2 ushers and bridesmaids with us to help with “crowd control” ! They also helped me to move one of the benches so I could sit the happy couple down with the castle making a stunning backdrop.

We got back to Ghillie Dhu in time for the evening guests arriving and the evening reception kicked off soon after. Congratulations again guys!

Here are a selection of photos from their day.
