February can be a tricky time to plan a wedding, you never know what the weather is going to do. Luckily the weather has been very kind to me over the last month. That’s 2 weddings on the bounce when I have been blessed with sunny afternoons and beautiful light!
Ross and Susan chose to get married in Fortingall Church, not far from Aberfeldy, in Perthshire. After some photos of the bridal party getting ready in Aberfeldy, then some photos with the boys as they got ready at Kenmore, before everyone made their way to Fortingall Church for the ceremony.
After the service, conducted by Rev. Anne Brennan, the new Mr and Mrs Campbell signed the register before they got into my car to head to the reception venue.
I’d planned to drive them from Fortingall to Kenmore Hotel myself so I could make a detour via Fearnan for some photos. There’s a little wooden jetty at Fearnan that I have been dying to use for ages. I managed to find the owner of one of the nearby houses and was told it wasn’t a problem to use it for 10 minutes.
The sky was looking a bit grey, but as I got Ross and Susan on the end of the Jetty, the sun broke through the clouds in the distance and the light was gorgeous.
It only took a few minutes to get the shots we wanted so we moved further down the loch to Dalerb for some more photos on the gravel beach before we headed to the hotel.
During the drinks reception, we took all the required group photos and even had time for a few more portraits on Kenmore Hotels jetty during golden hour, before dinner was served.
The evening reception kicked off around 8pm with the cake cutting then into the first dance. Another awesome wedding!
Here are a selection of pictures from their day.
